Impressively strong:
Mokesys® tiles for the lower combustion chamber
In modern refuse, biological and solid waste incineration plants, the boiler tube-wall encompass the whole of the combustion chamber. Here the risk of damage is particularly great when the plant is started up very quickly, as the wall cladding and the tube-wall will heat up at different rates. The specially developed Mokesys® tile offers lower thermal expansion and outstanding resistance to oxidation. We have also developed this particularly high-quality Mokesys® tile system for use in liquid and solid waste incineration plants to guarantee optimum protection of the heavily stressed parts of the furnace. The working temperature of the tile surface is reduced by means of improved heat transfer. This positive effect hinders the adhesion and build up of slag. The versatility of the Mokesys® system enables us to line the wholw furnace, including the risky curve of the front wall, or "nose" section and the sloping part of the back wall. This provides optimum protection for the areas of the boiler normally requiring much maintenance, i.e. the feeder roof, the combustion chamber and the slope over the ash discharge.
The standard Mokesys®-tile
The most widely used standard Mokesys® tiles have been desinged with a vertical, ship-lapped joint. A 3 mm thick vertical ceramic fibre packer is fitted here to enable expansion to be accommodated.
The reinforced Mokesys®-tile
Our Mokesys® tile, reinforced with longitudinal ribs, is used in areas of the boiler where increased mechanical stress is experienced.
The Mokesys® Radius tile
This tile is ideally suited for use on the curved parts of the front and back walls, or ignitation nose and ash discharge slope, as well as on any boiler tube bends, to ensure a continous, slag-repellant surface throughout the entire furnace.
