The demands imposed on boilers in modern waste incineration plants have increased considerably over the last few years. This is due to changes in the composition of the waste material. Increased calorific values and higher incineration temperatures lead to serious corrosion of boilers. Conventional cladding systems have only a limited capacity for movement and expansion where differences in temperature occur between the refractory wall lining and the finned tube-wall. This is particularly so if the plant is started up or shut down too quickly, when problems can be experienced with damage to tiled areas. This results in unplanned downtime as well as extra servicing and repair work that is expensive in both time and money. Our proven Mokesys® tile system eliminates these potential problems and considerably extends the service life of the refractory boiler tube-wall lining.
